    Venkat,
    Thanks for the info.
I would like to know if Indian toilets conform to any standards in terms for trap sizes, trap center distance from wall.
I recently bought a floor mounting Water closet from Hindware and distance of the S-trap hole center from wall is 30 cm whereas older WC had a much shorter distance. I checked other similar products from Hindware and I notice different sizes. This is ridiculous.
What is the way out in such situation?

Thanks Venkat for putting together this useful compilation. Can you also add a bit about water saving kind of toilets. I recently came across one in a house which created quite a bit of “pull” suction via a vortex of water, I was curious to know how it works.
